Official "Pilgrimage 21" Devotional Print
Project Pilgrimage 21 is a decentralized international medieval event organized by the Company of Saynt George, which connects reenactors and friends of living history all over the world in spring 2021. – from the Company's webpage
To commemorate the international event #pilgrimage21, we at Prelo Prints made a special devotional woodblock print, depicting St. Corona and St. Roch. These kinds of votive prints with Saints were popular in the 15th century and sometimes sold as souvenirs at pilgrimage sites.
The image was cut on a cherrywood block, and hand-printed on handmade linen laid paper for the international event in May 2021.
